Important Compliance Awareness
For medical device businesses in Malaysia, staff must understand that sales and inventory records are not just admin documents. They support product traceability, customer safety, warranty, complaint handling, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
The Medical Device Authority Malaysia states that medical device registration and establishment licensing are regulated under Medical Device Acts 737, and MDA’s public register allows verification of registered medical devices and licensed establishments.
MDA guidance also states that distribution records are required to be established and maintained for medical devices. This is why serial number, model number, customer record, delivery record, and stock movement records must be accurate.
For this role, the Admin Assistant only provides basic RA documentation support such as filing certificates, manuals, product labels, distribution records, complaint records, and audit folders. The staff is not authorized to submit, approve, sign, or make regulatory decisions.
